Training

The RFLINE offer has been extended to include training in the field of "antenna technology". As part of the training, participants will get acquainted not only with the theory of antennas. Most of the training time is devoted to the practical aspects of antennas. During the training, various designs and configurations of antennas and antenna arrays are analyzed. Examples include solutions developed or used by training participants.

The training is addressed to electronics engineers, system engineers, and other people who want to systematize or expand their knowledge in this area. It is to help companies and people who encounter problems related to the design or use of antennas in everyday practice.

Antenna training is currently closed, thanks to which current customer projects can also be discussed. Trainings take place in small groups, which promotes the exchange of information and orientation on topics of interest to students.

The thematic scope of the training is determined individually with the client. The training can take place in a place agreed by the parties, or with the use of videoconferencing tools.

Trainer: PhD Eng. Mateusz Mazur (20 years of experience in designing antennas and antenna systems for civil and military applications). www.linkedin.com/in/mateusz-mazur-RF-eng

The framework scope of the training is presented below:

  1. Determination of basic concepts regarding antennas and parameters describing antennas.
  2. The method of operation and construction of basic types of radiating elements (antennas),
  3. Antenna power supply, microwave guides, impedance continuity, impedance transformers, symmetrizers.
  4. Selection of the type of antennas for the application
  5. Interaction of adjacent antennas. Mutual arrangement of antennas, planar and spatial integration.
  6. Influence of the environment, metal elements, housing on antenna parameters
  7. Antenna polarization – affects the range and stability of the connection in the case of communication with mobile objects.
  8. Effect on the radiation characteristics of the antenna. Increased directivity, reduction of reverse radiation, selection of screens.
  9. Antenna technology, application of various materials in antenna technology(FR4 laminates and specialized substrates, absorbers, ferrites, plastics), selection of coverings, connectors, cable lines
  10. Range equations.
  11. The principle of operation of antenna arrays, construction and examples,
  12. Beam-controlled antennas
  13. Antenna operation with power
  14. Antenna design – approximate dependencies vs. full-wave simulators
  15. Antenna tuning, improving antenna fit, improving antenna power gain
    1. use of focused elements (use of Smith's chart),
    1. "cut and try" method
  16. antenna measurements in laboratory and non-laboratory conditions
  17. Use of measuring instruments.
  18. Antenna certification, impact on system certification.
  19. Basics of radar technology.

– the exact scope of training is agreed individually so as to take into account the real needs of companies and trainees. Discussions are conducted on an ongoing basis within the above training points.
